Congratulations of Poliana Okimoto, winner of the 2009 FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup series.
Christiane Fanzeres, Brazil Swimming Federation's Marathon Swimming Supervisor, provided photos of Poliana and the men's series runner-up Allan Do Carmo.
"Both Poliana and Allan will have press conferences at their cities [at home] after they arrive back in Brazil. It was really a great year for Poliana, winning with a comfortable [point differential] in the final rankings."
Poliana, a candidate for the 2009 World Open Water Swimming Woman of the Year, was supported by the Brazil Swimming Federation (Confederação Brasileira de Desportos Aquáticos) that is now greatly expanding its nationwide open water swimming programs.
