The Kingdom Aquafest is held on the shores of Lake Memphremagog that borders the State of Vermont and Quebec, Canada, The Kingdom Aquafest includes a Kingdom Swim that offers 100-yard, ¼-mile, 1-mile and 10-mile races (see course below) in wetsuit and non-wetsuit divisions in expected 68°-75°F waters (20°C-23.8°C).

Lake Memphremagog is described as, "a lake of exceptional, rugged beauty; set in a diverse landscape, hilly and mountainous to the west with pastoral, rolling farmland to the east." The venue is in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont – one of ten geo-tourism areas in the world specially designated by Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

The Kingdom Swim, a charity event with a Swimmers Parade, encourages both recreational and competitive swimmers to participate, offering prizes for the highest pledges, largest groups, biggest families and furthest traveled to the event.

Note: the annual pro Traversée Internationale du lac Memphrémagog, part of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, is held on the Canadian side of the lake.
