One World, 28 Countries, One Dream

Swimmers from 28 countries qualified for the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim final.

Only Russia, Great Britain and Brazil qualified 3 swimmers.

Spain, South Africa, Czech Republic, Germany, France, the Netherlands, China, Venezuela, Australia, USA, Italy, Greece, Mexico, Argentina, Ukraine and Portugal each qualified two swimmers. Chile, Sweden, Slovakia, Belgium, Egypt, Syria, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Hungary each qualified one swimmer.

The breakdown per country is as follows:

Russia: 1 female + 2 male
Great Britain: 2 female + 1 male
Brazil: 2 female + 1 male
Spain: 1 female + 1 male
South Africa: 1 female + 1 male
Czech Republic: 1 female + 1 male
Germany: 1 female + 1 male
France: 1 female + 1 male
Netherlands: 1 female + 1 male
China: 1 female + 1 male
Venezuela: 1 female + 1 male
Australia: 1 female + 1 male
USA: 1 female + 1 male
Italy: 1 female + 1 male
