How Big is Big?

The Midmar Mile in South Africa is a huge open water swimming event. But, it was not always that way. Here is a year-by-year evolution of the growth of the event. In 2004, a record-setting participation of 17,332 swimmers was set. Our congratulations and respect goes out to Wayne Riddin, the race director since 1990, and the race staff.

17-19,000 swimmers is SO hard even to imagine!
