A pair of local 22-year-olds Chan Ye Ko Rico and Tam Joe Dick Dickson went 1-2 in the Sheko Challenge in Hong Kong. Anne Marie Monk, ex-Hong Kong Olympic swimmer, won the women's division and was fifth overall. "Hong Kong is an excellent place for open water swimming because of the year-round temperate waters, easy-to-reach beaches, and incredible scenery – we have a rapidly growing competitive swimming community who have a vested interest in cleaning up our oceans and beaches," says Doug Woo, co-organizer of the Project Kaisei charity event.
