The 5K Superfinals of the Czech Open Water Swimming Cup was held today.
For those who are not familiar with the Czech language, dalkove plavani means long distance swimming.
The Czech Open Water Swimming Cup has 22 races in its series with the 5K Superfinal being held in Krnov. The 35th annual rankings in the Czech Cup will be announced and celebrated after today's race.
2009 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year nominee Rostislav Vitek wrapped up his sixth Czech Cup championship after winning in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2008. 15-year-old Lenka Sterbova also won the women's Czech Cup, taking after her mother (with the same name) who won in 2004, 2005 and 2008. The winning club winner is for the third consecutive time is Bohemians Prague.
