Swimming Along The Reef

Canadians Rob Hutchings and Todd Cameron will attempt to swim the entire length of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Rob and Todd will plan to swim the 2,300K distance to the likely extinction of the Great Barrier Reef, a World Heritage area, due to current CO2 emissions and rising temperatures around the globe.

They are supporting the targets outlined by International Day of Climate Action.

Todd (shown above) is a Canadian open water swimmer, shark conservationist, volunteer and spokesperson for Oceanic Defense, an organization committed to healthy aquatic ecosystems free of human abuse.

Their overall goal of the Great Barrier Reef Swim is to bring awareness on all levels to the plight of the world's oceans, reefs, and all marine animals who live there during their November 2010 swim.
