The list of individuals who have achieved the difficult and rare Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming now stands at 33.This year, Nick Adams and Elaine Kornbau Howley (see photo) were added to the exclusive list of swimmers who have completed the difficult Triple Crown.
Elaine did Manhattan Island in 2008, the English Channel in 2009 and the Catalina Channel in 2008.
Nick did Manhattan Island in 2006, the Catalina Channel in 2009 and the English Channel an incredible six times.
