John Quackenbush of Salt Lake City will attempt a 19-mile swim across Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border. On August 8th, he will start his 19-mile (30.5K) attempt at 6,000 feet (1,828 meters) altitude with expected water temperatures around 60°F (15.5°C). John's swim is a charity fundraiser for No More Homeless Pets. 100% of all proceeds will be donated directly to this worthy cause.
