Sabac Pro Race Cancelled

As the number of amateur open water races increases, the number of opportunities for the professional marathon swimmers around the world continues to decrease.

Unfortunately, the cancellation of another pro marathon swim was announced today by FINA and the Swimming Federation of Serbia.

The 19K FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix race in Sabac, Serbia, with its four-decade history, was scheduled for July 12th. This year alone, the proposed pro races in the English Channel, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Long Beach (California) and Sabac have been postponed for various reasons.
