Vansbrosimningen, one of the largest open water swims in the world and one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims, offers a women-only race called the Vansbro Tjejsim.
This summer, Danish swimmer Trine Gudnitz won the 1K race over 2,693 other finishers.
The Vansbro Tjejsim consistently attracts over 2,500 women every year proving the single-sex event is a powerful draw.
The 3-day event also offers a number of other races including the 5K Senior and Junior Swedish Championships, the 1.5K Vansbro Halvsim, the 1.5K Vansbro Ungdomssim (youth swim), the 1K Vansbro Kortsim and the showcase 3K Vansbrosimningen race on the last day. The races will be held between July 9-11th in 2010.
