Respecting The Boundaries Of Mother Nature

Skip Storch, a 2009 inductee in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, described the difference between pool and open water swimmers, "It has always been my contention that lines are for swimmers that need balance and boundaries. The open water swimmer must warehouse his own internal lane lines and respect the boundaries of Mother Nature."
