With one last professional marathon swim to complete in the FINA Open Water Swimming World Cup, Bulgaria's Petar Stoychev has wrapped up the 2009 season title.
One of the top vote-getters for the 2009 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year poll, Petar has had a remarkable year.
Petar has consistently out-swum all the other professional marathon swimmers throughout the year in head-to-head competitions, including winning an unprecedented nine straight Traversee internacionale du lac St-Jean 32K races.
