We are happy to report that Christian Hübner won his town's Sportsman of the Year award for the earliest England-to-France channel crossing in history with a 17 hour and 16 minutes swim in ~15°C (59°F) water. Christian is from Bamberg, a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is always nice when a member of our global open water swimming community is recognized for their exploits.
