USA Swimming will soon send two inspirational and instructional DVDs to every registered swim team. The DVDs include the 2008 Highlights DVD and Out of the Box: Open Water Swimming.



The 2008 Highlights DVD is an inspirational three-part DVD set that includes over five hours of video. The first DVD includes highlights from the 2008 Olympic Trials, the second features women’s pool races from the Beijing Olympics and the third DVD shows men’s races from Beijing.

Out of the Box: Open Water Swimming is an educational 90-minute introduction to open water swimming. The DVD covers a wide variety of topics and includes how to introduce swimmers to open water swimming, basic training and skills, and how to set up and run an open water competition.

Both titles are provided free of charge to all teams (one copy per team), courtesy of USA Swimming. The titles will also soon be on sale for US$20.00 on the USA Swimming website.

Note: The two titles are sent to the 'club contact.' If the coach is not the contact person in the USA Swimming database, then the coach should inform the contact person to be on the lookout for these titles in their mailbox.
