We heard credible rumors that an established group is organizing a 2-day international English Channel race between August 19-24, 2009. An international press presentation and release is expected to be made from London early February.On the first day, eight of the world’s top male swimmers will compete in the first group and six of the world's top female swimmers (including Olympic 10K Marathon Swim bronze medalist Cassandra Patten), plus two celebrity-athlete relay teams, will compete in the second group. On the second day, up to 12 charity relay teams will compete.
More details to be announced later by the race organizers in London. Exciting!
