Open Water Swimming ... Sort Of

All around the world's coastlines, people have enjoyed tidal pools. New South Wales New South Wales in Australia have many ocean pools along its coast. New South Wales Ocean Baths has a list of these ocean pools where waves break over the sides.

The pools range from a ring-of-rocks on the beach sand to natural pools along rocky shores that have been deepened or enhanced by adding concrete walls or smoothing its floor.
