Shelley Taylor-Smith, founder of
Champion Mindset, will report from the
FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup in Repulse Bay in Hong Kong later today.
Shelley, the Secretary-General of FINA's Technical Open Water Swimming Committee, will interview
Larisa Ilchenko, the
Olympic 10K Marathon Swim gold medalist, and fourth-place finisher
Angela Maurer of Germany.
Angela, a 33-year-old mother, is a remarkable story and will share with
Shelley how she balances parenting, training, work and competing against the world's best in a grueling sport.
Both Larisa and
Angela have said they are a bit tired after the Olympics and do not expect the same aggressiveness in today's Hong Kong race as they faced in Beijing at the
Olympic 10K Marathon Swim finals. That being said, they both think like a champion and we expect a great post-Olympic race.
