Baja Mexico Open Water Swimming Expeditions

Baja Expedition offers 1-week open water swimming vacations (October 11 - 17 and October 15 – 21 in the fall 2008). Swimcationers can enjoy the crystal clear and protected waters of a Isla Espiritu Santo (Holy Spirit Island) and Isla La Partida.

Swimcationers swim between 2-2.5 miles each morning along craggy rocks and cliffs, past sandy beaches, through remote coves and from island to island, guided by the renowned Gary Emich.

Swimcationers are grouped according to speed, escorted by two skiffs, so everyone can relax and swim at an appropriate pace. In the afternoons, the swimcationers can snorkel or rest on the secluded beaches along the way and have a choice of a second 1-mile swim or a 1.5-2.5 mile hike along volcanic cliffs of the Mexican interior. Accommodations with Baja Expedition include cabin-style tents, cots, sleeping pads and solar-heated showers.
