36 Miles for £250,000
The Ocean Gateway Challenge is the tremendous physical and charity effort of James Whittaker who is attempting to swim the Manchester Ship Canal on today and tomorrow. His valient effort is an attempt to raise over £250,000 for The Children’s Hospital Appeal - in addition to the £1 million already donated by Peel Holdings Ltd.
James Whittaker is development director of Peel. His route is along the Manchester Ship Canal, stretching 36 miles from Manchester to Liverpool in England.
