FINA announced its plans for the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships to be held in Rome, Italy between July 18th and August 2nd, 2009. The 2006 World Open Water Swimming Championships were also held in Rome, but the 5K, 10K and 25K race courses have not yet been announced by FINA.
