15K Results from Abu Dhabi

Results from the season-ending 15K FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix race in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) last month are below.

Thomas Lurz, a 2009 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year nominee, stepped up in distance from his traditional 5K and 10K races and won the 15K'er.

On the women's side, Anna Uvarova of Russia out-sprinted Angela Maurer of Germany and Linsy Heister of the Netherlands with 2 seconds separating the 3 medalists.
