11-time Olympic medalist and occasional open water swimmer Natalie Coughlin appeared on ABC's Dancing With The Stars TV program last night. Fans cast their votes for Natalie via telephone on Tuesday night via the official voting number (1-800-VOTE4-13 or 1-800-868-3413).
Natalie is the second swimmer we know who has appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Australian Olympic 10K marathon swimmer Ky Hurst was a contestant in the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2005. Ky and his partner, Masha Belash, lasted until the fourth week of the show. "I have really enjoyed this experience and learning how to dance. Masha has been a great teacher and dance partner. I hope to use my new skills in ballroom dancing again soon," said Ky, as he put away his dancing shoes for his trusty swim suit.
