Completing The Triple Crown Of Open Water Swimming

Tom Hecker from Carmel Valley, California became another Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming swimmer this week.

Tom completed the Catalina Channel in 10 hours and 45 minutes on Friday to add to his record of success in the English Channel (15:21 in 2005) and the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (8:20 in 2008). He also crossed the Strait of Gibraltar in 3:40 in 2006 (3:40) and plans to continue his challenges around the world.
