Making History In Henley On The River Thames

The Henley Royal Regatta is a famous rowing competition held every year on the River Thames in England since 1839 - 160 years ago.

While open water swimming's history is not that long on the River Thames, it does have a 6-year history and, like its rowing counterpart, a growing international field.

The Black Sheep Henley Swim organizes the annual 2.2K Black Sheep Henley Swim - which has been sold out for 2009 - and will add a team event this year,

We are hopeful the race will be covered live by radio like it was last year.
