Lasting Images of China - Part 22

Taking a page from Chad La Tourette, Chloe Sutton qualified fourth in the 800 freestyle at the US Olympic Swimming Team Trials in Omaha with a best time of 8:35.58.

The 800 finals are on Saturday, July 5th and will be televised on NBC in the U.S.

Chad and Chloe are not only teammates on Mission Viejo Nadadores, but are also teammates on the USA Swimming National Open Water Team.

La Tourette, who got out-touched for the bronze in the 5K at the 2008 World Open Water Swimming Championships, qualified fourth in the 400 freestyle in 3:48.59, but ultimately finished sixth in the finals. La Tourette is seeded fourth in the 1500 freestyle with a 15:00.26.

Leah Gingrich, who was a member of the USA Swimming National Open Water Team, also did well in the 800 freestyle, qualifying fifth, right behind Chloe in an 8:35.86. Leah also did well in her 200 butterfly with a best time of 2:10.48. Gingrich finished eighth in the finals in that butterfly event.
