When Irish Eyes Are Smiling

Many countries around the world are holding their selection trials for the World Swimming Championships in various bodies of water at different times of the year. For example, Mexico is holding their selection trials in the tropical seas of Cancun and the rivers within steep canyon walls. Australia and New Zealand already held their joint trials in Sydney.

Swim Ireland will hold its 5K and 10K world championship selection races on May 31st in Lough Sheelin, County Cavan. We wish the newly formed Swim Ireland National Open Water Committee best wishes in hosting this event.

Other dates for other key Swim Ireland events include the following:

A 10K Swim in Clew Bay, Innishoo Island-to-Newport on July 11th.

The Tommy Dorgan Swim, the Dublin 5k National Championship on July 26th.

The 17K Irish Championships & 10K Swim in Lough Erne on August 2nd.

The 8-mile Cleggan-to-Inishbofin Swim in County Galway on August 9th.

The Camlough Lake 5K Swim in County Armagh on September 20th.
